ALTOCONTRASTE - 2001

Serie fotográfica que forma parte de un proyecto coreográfico del Colectivo de Arte “La vitrina”, con quienes ya había trabajado desde hace unos años.
Este trabajo de fotografía involucra siete largas series que fueron proyectadas durante la obra como soporte escenográfico, se utilizó en momentos como fondos, sobre los bailarines, al pulso de los movimientos o de la música.

La premisa es la siguiente:
Tres cuerpos, tres personajes desplazándose en un mapa socialmente definido,
Tres lugares distintos, gestos distintos que delatan vidas distintas.
Un Santiago lleno de diferencias que hacen de la ciudad mil Santiagos posibles.
Un Santiago de personas que deambulan cotidianamente a nuestro alrededor,
Y que no queremos ver.
Es urgente mirar al otro, aquellos con quienes compartimos las calles de Santiago,
Ciudad de contrastes.
A los que habitan esta ciudad,
A la mujer encorvada,
Al Chololo
Y al olor a sopaipillas.
A las pequeñas intimidades urbanas
Que nos sedujeron y obligaron a
Abrir los ojos.

Así he enfocado las imágenes fotográficas utilizando el concepto de la memoria colectiva en un entorno específico el de Santiago de Chile.

Dance Collective Art "LA VITRINA" with whom he had worked for some years.
